She was found in the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.

The person who saw her just did the right thing by calling a wildlife center for help.

It was Ravensbeard Wildlife Center who came to her rescue, and they wholeheartedly took over. They even shared the whole journey of Rocky at their center. It started when they received a call from the wife of Rocky’s rescuer.

“Yesterday morning, I received a phone call from someone who asked if we take in owls for rehabilitation. I replied, ‘yes we do’ there was silence for a moment and she said ‘OK, I’ll call back when my husband comes home, he’s got the baby owl in a box tucked in for the long ride’,” they wrote.

When Rocky was brought to Ravensbeard Wildlife Center, she immediately received proper care and attention from the staff of the center. If you’ll visit their Facebook account, you’ll see all the updates that they have posted about her.

They even confirmed that this tiny owl is a girl.

According to the wildlife center, they chose to let go of Rocky at sunset – which is just a perfect time.

“The release will happen at sunset so that she can find safe cover by nightfall. We have found just the right quiet cluster of conifers to give her the safety she needs.”

Moreover, the wildlife center deserves praise too.

Before they released her, they made sure that everything about her was properly checked- especially her health.

“We’ve been working hard to ensure that Rockefeller is well taken care of. We always consult with experts & avian veterinarians before the release of a bird, to ensure they have the best chance of reentering the wild.”

It’s true that Rocky has become popular ever since she was found in the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in Manhattan. Though she is now back in the wild, lots of people are still loving her, and her popularity still continues.

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree sure looked stunning last night. We’re sure if Rocky was flying above she would…
