Remembering our deceased pets is something that seems so natural and a part of the grieving process. A link of hair or a little toy is usually the route people take when commemorating a pet who has moved on, but one woman decided to take it to a different level.

Instead of grabbing something small to remember her cat by, one Florida woman decided to taxidermy a feline.

Jennifer Clark is an art teacher from Florida who thought it would be a good idea to taxidermy a cat she found on the road. Although it wasn’t her own pet, she thought it would be good practice.

As you could imagine, “taxidermying” a dead cat from the roadside for the very first time had… unintended results.

Jennifer decided she was going to post her results online and they were terrifying. The process ended up taking an entire month and the final product was like something out of a terrifying movie.

The Frankenstein cat was born.

Once she posted it to social media to show off her hellish creation, the internet immediately loved(?) it.

The internet has always had an obsession with the Macabe, but this event seemed to be particularly popular.

Lesson to be learned: If your nephews cat dies and they want it stuffed, don NOT attempt to do it yourself! – Instagram

While it’s kind of hard to see, the actual body of the cat is even more horrific than you might imagine. The mouth was stuffed with black felt since it was so deformed. Speaking of deformed, Jennifer used a coat hanger to hold the body up. The result was a cat that was elongated beyond any stretch of reality.

Since Jennifer posted the original photo, it’s blown up on the internet.

‘When it was finished I thought. ‘Oh good lord, do I ever want anyone to see this?’

Still, she posted it. Soon after the original post, it had over 200,000 shares on Facebook and it’s probably still climbing!

‘Sometimes you want to preserve your animals but if you bring a cat back from the dead you might get something like the Pet Cemetery movie or Frankenstein’s cat, and this is like that.
