25-year old Candice Catherine from Sydney, Australia burst into tears when her boyfriend Timothy proposed in a very slow and unique way.
Over the course of three years, Timothy had written Candice touching love letters ever since they were a couple.
Timothy wrote her fourteen love letters in total, and they were quite special. The first letter of each love note was a capital letter styled differently and together they spelled out the sentence: “Will you marry me“.
The romantic Timothy was preparing to propose for a while now, and when he wrote his fourteenth and final letter, he knew that the day has come.
Candice found a little note next to her bed when she woke up. The note said that she had te get dressed and come outside whenever she was ready.
She had the opportunity to talk to the Daily Mail about this touching proposal:
“I woke up on the morning of December 16, 2015, with a letter next to me instructing me to get dressed and to only come out when I’m fully ready. As soon as I opened the door, I found rose petals and candles everywhere – my heart skipped a beat and I knew it was coming.”
“He sat me down in the living room with all the letters that he had written to me on the table. We read them out one by one reliving the memories of our dating years. After we read all of them he then carefully arranged the letters and asked me to look at them.”
When she finally knew what was happening, she burst into tears.
Timothy and Candice met each other in 2009 thanks to some mutual friends. They didn’t really talk to each other at first, but an intense relation started building up slowly. It was only four years later that Cupido would shoot his arrow of love.
