There are some people with so much spirit in them that it bursts out of them making them a bright light in a world that can sometimes grow dim.

When you meet Loren Patterson, you can feel her joy, which quickly becomes your joy as well.

The Tennesse girl went viral in 2017 when she was just 6-years-old for her energetic rendition of “Old Church Choir,” which she sang with her fellow church choir members during Sunday service.

If you see the video, you don’t have to ask which child is Loren.

You’ll immediately know.

She’s the one in pink stomping her feet, clapping her hands, and soulfully singing along next to her more subdued choir members.

“You can tell that she is truly filled with the Holy Spirit as she sings,” I’ve got a heart overflowing ’cause I’ve been restored. There ain’t nothing gonna steal my joy.”

The video for Loren singing with the choir ended up going viral and has been viewed more than 59 million times.

“I feel like that video is bringing joy to people in a dark world,” Loren’s mom Jennifer Patterson told The Tennessean. “I’m hearing from people all over the world.”

Patterson says she doesn’t typically make her social media posts public but made the video shareable for her family and friends.

She hopes the video will help people see God’s love through Loren.

“If but one person is touched and comes to know the knowledge of the saving power of Christ, then that’s all that matters,” Patterson said.

Loren said she loved swinging to the beat of the music but that there was one specific reason she was so moved by the song.

“I can sing about Jesus,” said Loren.

Patterson said she didn’t know right away what the chatter was about during Loren’s performance.

Once she realized everyone was talking about her daughter, she wasn’t surprised at all.

“That is 100 percent her personality,” Patterson told ABC News. “She was just going with the Lord.”

Mom says she had gotten countless messages from people saying how touched they were by Loren’s performance.

“I’ve gotten them from around the world, from people saying they’ve been blessed in one way or another,” Patterson said. “One I remember in particular was a woman who renewed her faith just because she felt the conviction when she watched the video.”

Even Zach Williams, credited for making “Old Church Choir” famous, complemented Loren on her performance. The song is the second single of Williams’ first solo album, Chain Breaker.

Williams said he was inspired to put the song on the album by memories of being a young child singing in revivals at country churches with his grandparents.

“It just takes one person to start something like that and that little girl caught the attention and the hearts of people all across the world, and it’s just been really cool to see,” Williams said.
