Pizza is the type of food that almost everyone knows and loves across the globe.

Did you know that approximately 350 slices of pizza are eaten each second in the United States? You can’t get it wrong, just prepare the dough and put on it anything you have in the fridge. The more cheese, the better.

You’ll need an ice cube tray for pizza bites, and you better count the number of cups of the tray, because that’s how many pizza bites you’ll have in the end.

If you plan on feeding more people, then you’ll probably need to repeat the process a few times. Don’t worry though, it doesn’t get any easier than this.

You’ll need 16 ounces of pizza dough, half a cup of marinara sauce, pesto, and a few more things.

First of all, it makes no difference whether the ice cube tray is silicone or hard plastic; it’ll do the work either way. Apart from the main ingredients we have already mentioned, you’ll also need:

  • 3 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 teaspoons shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup pepperoni, chopped
  • ¼ cup onion, chopped
  • ¼ cup bell pepper, chopped
  • ¼ cup mushrooms, chopped
  • ¼ cup tomato, chopped
  • ¼ cup ham, chopped
  • ¼ cup pineapple, chopped

Add other assorted toppings, if you wish.

Keep in mind that you’ll need more of all ingredients if you plan to make a lot of pizza bites. These measurements are for 12 bites only.

Preheat the oven to 350⁰F (180⁰C) and make sure to let the dough sit out at room temperature for about half an hour.

Flour the surface. After that, take the dough and cut it in half. Take one half and roll it out into a rectangle, about 1/8 of an inch thick.

Repeat the same process with the other half of the dough, and put that other half aside for now.

Now, take your ice cube tray, oil it lightly, and cover it with the dough.

Carefully, press the dough down into every hole of the tray and let the dough stretch properly.

Don’t worry if the dough tears up a bit—you can always fix it with the excess dough. You’re supposed to have something like the photo below.

The hard part is over. Fill the holes with marinara sauce, pesto, cheese and put a little bit of all other ingredients.

Don’t be shy with this step, stuff it all in!

Once you’re done, take the other half of the dough and cover the prepared bites.

After that, bake it all for 15-20 minutes.

You’ll know it’s done when pizza bites get the beautiful golden brown color.
