In the viral video, eight dogs are left alone in a Budapest apartment.

It begins with several humans walking out the door and mom shaking her finger at the pooches – as if she’s telling them to behave. When the door closes, they all get to work.

Turns out, these dogs were ready to decorate their family’s Christmas tree.

“Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” is the soundtrack tune for the adorable three-minute video and it’s one of the most creative projects we’ve seen in a long time. First, one dog heads into the living room and begins folding up a rug.

Next, it’s time to ‘hang’ the ornaments.

One of the pups runs to the Christmas decorations and grabs a box of ornaments for the tree. With a little bit of camera magic, the ornaments are perfectly placed on the branches.

After a few ornaments are hung, another dog brings over a ladder to string the garland around the tree.

Once the Christmas tree is looking festive and fabulous, the obedient and smart pups complete the holiday set-up by bringing over presents to place underneath.

One by one, the dogs nudge a beautifully wrapped gift underneath the bottom branches. Finally, there’s only one thing left — the lights!

So, how did they do it?

There’s no doubt that the video is amazing, but it left people wondering how on earth they were able to train the dogs so perfectly and precisely. The trainer for the dogs, Nora Vamosi-Nagy, told The Bark that she used the Mirror Method to train the dogs.

The dogs belong to a group that performs choreographed acts at public events. They are so well-trained, it only took six hours to shoot the entire video.

“We didn’t practice at all for the video shooting. But the dogs knew everything. They understood all the words; they understood to go forward, to bring this, to put that there. It wasn’t difficult at all. In six hours, we shot all the material,” Vamosi-Nagy told The Bark.

The video was filmed in Hungary where Vamosi-Nagy says she was getting a lot of criticism for the video. However, once it was uploaded to YouTube, the response showed that people were absolutely in love with the adorable and creative idea.

One person commented:

“An annual viewing tradition in my house, over and over. It has brought such joy. Thank you!”

Another wrote:

“omg way too cute!!! you guys did a great job training the dogs and of course the dogs did an excellent job!!!”
