It was a regular day in Tennessee for Greg and Stayce when they decided to get McDonald’s to go.

This bag that was supposed to be deposited into the bank somehow ended up at the drive-thru, and without check-in the bag assuming it was their food, the Terry’s drove off. Whenever they realized what was in the bag, they did the right thing and returned it.

Greg Terry says,

“This will never happen again for us at least not in our lifetime”

Although the Terry’s didn’t keep the cash, they will be telling this story for years to come.

The Terry’s overall find the incident funny and surprising, with Stayce recalling the moment as such,

“My husband opened the bag and discovered the money inside, he said, ‘You are not going to believe this.’ Sure enough, it was their bank deposit money.”

However, the biggest thing Greg noticed was even though they got an immense amount of cash; they didn’t get their order. It was a good amount of money, and Stayce jokes that she could have done some shopping. The worker whose bag it was noticed the mistake and luckily was able to catch up with the Terrys.

The woman whose money it was was nervous they would try to keep it, but luckily they were good samaritans.

Stayce Terry recalls the girl being shaken and visibly upset, rightfully so as that was a lot of money to give away accidentally. However, the Terrys immediately returned the money without even thinking twice.

Stayce tells NewsChannel5 the thoughts that went through her head as she learned what the money was for,

“The second that she said it was their deposit, my first thing was let’s get in the truck and take it back, there is no other way to have it. I couldn’t live with myself.”
